In November last year, Undo released “Disconnect”, his third album. A charming long-player that has won a plethora of great feedbacks and reviews. Now it’s time to unveil the first in a series of remix EP's. Packages that feature reworks from friends and admired artists. Part 1 welcomes Mexican Iñigo Vontier, Russian Dimitri Veimar and Belgian Cabaret Nocturne, alongside a new mix from Undo himself.
Opening the 12” we find Iñigo Vontier’s version of “Autómatas”. The rising Mexican producer delivers an exciting remix with his own Latin trademark. A steady bassline, lush percussions, effective synth action and the original Undo vocal chop all combine to create a perfect dance-floor weapon.
The sexy incantation of “Computer Friends” is revisited by Dimitri Veimar, Cabaret Nocturne and Undo. Veimar’s take is special. Stripping down the original, processing the vocals and using only a few original machine-drum stems and minilogue pad, he presents a dub journey full of synth tension and hidden beats.
Cabaret Nocturne’s remix, whilst paying respect to the original, takes it to another level by adding a brand new bassline, ramping the pace and showcasing the Belgian's top production skills.
Undo’s new version sees him complete rework the original in all but its vocals. Converting the funny and sexy number into a dark acid trip. The message however remains the same.
